The Section for Technical, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the French Embassy in Pakistan is sponsoring bilateral cooperation between France and Pakistan.

Why?

In the fields of scientific and technical cooperation, Pakistan and France have complementary assets.

On the one hand, Pakistan is willing to develop on a larger scale its potential from already reknown institutes and researchers through extensive scientific exchanges and through access to modern scientific equipment.

On the other hand, French researchers, labs and universities are interested to develop knowledge in some domains where Pakistan is particularly interesting or offers a rich field of experimentation, such as geology, biochemistry, medecine, archaeology, paleontology and social sciences.

In terms of development and technical cooperation France is also willing to transfer its expertise and know-how in various fields where needs of development are expressed such as information technology, telecommunications, public health, public services management etc…

What?

Cooperation programmes have been built on the above grounds for many years. There are all based on the principle of mutual cooperation involving insitutes, universities, labs and experts from both countries. This collaboration covers joint research projects, exchanges of teachers, missions of experts, students training.

A project is decided by both parties and planned for a duration from 3 to 5 years, precising targetted results and steps of achievment which are monitered every year.

Present projects cover Paleontology, Biochemistry, Genteics , Engineering sciences, Medical sciences, Earth building techniques, Archaeology and Social Sciences.
